Unit histories were very common right after WWII. No longer common at all. Very nice, for sure.

There are 4 copies of the Sixth Armored Division book on the Advance Book Exchange right now. With prices ranging from $360 to $600 they are apparently fairly highly sought after. Hope the link works, you might have to cut and paste:

I didn't (quickly) find anything on the 15th Tank Battalion, it appears to be a little more difficult to find.....

The last inset shows the Conquet Peninsula campaign. The Germans were surrounded but fiercely defending the sub base at Brest. They turned back the 6th Armored, and the 29th ID was trucked from Vith to take it. The Fall 2008 GCAJournal featured an M1
recovered by the FFI from a dead GI in the assault.
