I think Garandicon Receivers are common and cheap in Canadaicon. Perhaps you could purchase one for export to Italyicon. Good luck.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. "I have seen this opinion about Danishicon Garands express on some US gun forums and I think its just an example of American chauvinism - the believe held by some (usually Americans) that if its not made in the USAicon its not good enough."

I wholeheartedly agree and take advantage of that every chance I get, to the tune so far of five new to almost new VAR barrels! One pleased me in particular, the first one. Got an entire front-end; Barrel(TE-1,ME-1), front handguard(Winchester), narrow-base Gas-Cylinder, Front sight(PB), SA screw, Hardened nut for $125.00 "Cause it's ferrin, ain't SA!"

That barrel is on my Match-Rifle.

The only complaints I've heard about the Danishicon returns was the replacement wood.I believe they were Beech?People used to Walnut don't like the look of Beech, otherwise, reports of Quality were Good.

    FWIW & YMMV.
Danishicon beechwood stocks , VAR barrels and some Italianicon marked parts are the hallmarks of the classic pure-bred CMPicon Danes.
    They are what are.

My CMPicon Danishicon (VAR barrel) return won two First Place overall plaques at the Ft. Knox JCG Memorial Matches at Scott Mountain KD Range. I am an average shooter, so even though I am not shooting to the potential of the rifle in question, she sure did not let me down.

Hi gentlemen! About what I'm reading on your answers (many thanks! for them) I belive the fellows at shooting range were talking about an "unknown matter" or about "a defective" gun, not about a M1icon Garand. I am glad about that and I hope my buddy could buy one without "fear". Again many thanks also in the behalf of my buddy, "the brigadier". Anyway all your opinins about this thread are always wellcome.

I think you may be too diplomatic concerning the folk overheard at the range.
