    Authentic? My No.5 carbine gets naked....

    Finally took my No.5 Mk.1 Jungle Carbine apart to look it over and scrub it all up. Here's some photos, I'm just looking for opinions on its authenticity, as I'm "Enfield challenged".

    Some more....Am I correct in assuming this is Birch?

    See any damage?

    Any opinions about refinishing this with Fairtrimmer's or just clean it up and leave it alone?
