Lets face it this "global warming" is a huge money maker for thousands of people. I am sure here in Canadaicon you could get a federal grant to study the reproduction rate of the mosquito as long as you tied your study to "global warming" I think it would best be described as Climate Change as the earth has done for millions and millions of years. Our biggest problem is people like Al Gore...didn't he also say he invented the internet???
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

Be SURE to read the bottom couple LINES! Bob

    Global Warming
    The Washington Post

The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some
places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the
Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen, Norwayicon Reports
from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in
climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.
Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far
north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters
showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been
replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at
many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.
Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while
vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far
north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few
years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make
    most coastal cities uninhabitable.
    ====================

I apologize. I neglected to mention that this report was from
November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in
The Washington Post 88+ years ago.

What concerns me is what will happen if/when mankind somehow manages to cut it's CO2 (plant food) emissions ... The earth is already adjusting to it by increasing the reproductive rate of plants, cyanobacteria and the like. If we cut CO2 emissions (or even significantly slow down it's steady increase) ... As relatively little is mankind's part in the whole CO2 emissions business, we might end up triggering an ice age since "global warming scientists" seem to think in terms of warming when CO2 levels are "high" (still well below the 1% or 10 000ppm range AFAIK) .... But what happens if we "succeed" in curbing down CO2 emissions and CO2 levels fall to historic lows ? As the current "theory" goes .... The more CO2 there is, the warmer it gets, the stronger the storms get etc ... I'd rather not trigger an ice-age by not thinking changes thru on both ways of the equation thank you very much... In other words, as far as I know nobody has come up with an "ideal" number of CO2 ppm's to this day.

We´re into the second cold, wet and windy summer after two cold and icy winters. Could you all please leave you cars in idle overnight and burn some coal fires to increase CO2 as I could do with some of this `Global Warming´. Thank you!

Get the cattle to stop farting. People and my lab too (Gawd, Baxter!). So much of what people believe is 'anecdotal' in recent or remote history among the living. The 'scientific community', in my opinion works to 'prove' what will get it the greatest awards of money and fame, depending on the great personalities' 'favorite gospel' to guide the research findings, IMHO. No one now alive has the experience of tens of thousands of years of experience in global climate conditions.
