Strange, I always thought the M91/30 sight was measured in Arshins....or was it the earlier M1891? Anyway, 1 Arshin = 0.7112 meter.

Try it w/ the bayonet attached! It works for me more often than not.

You may also want to try changing from light ball to heavy(or verse-vicey). Esp. if its "D" marked above the chamber or "SA"(Finnishicon) marked.

Yes, repositioned myself to 110 yards from the target and did much better. I have never tried it with the bayonet installed, but will next range trip.

Ditto on the heat shrink on the front sight. Two of mine needed about .060" longer to make them shoot decent at 100Y.

The sights on M91-30s are set to fire accurately when the bayonet is attached. You might not know that soviet soldiers were issued bayonets, but were not issued bayonet scabbards. That's because they were expected to carry their bayonet on the rifle, and the sights were designed to take into account the extra weight of the bayonet.

Nobody want to listen to the bayonet "on" method of zeroing it seems- I 've mentioned it before (once or twice).

yeah, those mosins were sighted in with the bayo's attached. crazy mofo's for sure, but it definitely helps pull your shots tighter. if you have one you should try it once.
