Hi there,
Sorry it took so long for further pictures. The S on the forehead of the stock is 1/8" high, S/N as mentioned 140.XXX. Handguard without clips and no sighting clearout. Bolt handle has marking on the upper side that looks like the ordnance bomb, but I'm not sure?
Stock has been sanded by the previous owner, not done very good, but luckily he left the original stock markings.

My rifle is an "original" (sort of) rebuild. It probably started out as a 1905 Modification rifle (i.e. the chamber in 30-03 but with the conventional upper band with bayonet lug. It was rechambered in 30-06 and received a 1908 SA barrel. The finish is worn but it appears to be all original to that 1908 rebuild. The BHM is discernible, but faint. The stock is a single bolt with a small "s" on the foretip.
