I"m asking the question of whether that range of serial numbers were or weren't stamped. I have no info that they were really not.

Only saw that those 2 weren't stamped and I'm wondering if the ones in between those numbers we or were not stamped.

Could be that the ones that I saw were a replacement.

1917,s with a serial number stamped on teh bolt handle were lend lease rifles. Canadaicon, NZicon ect..all serial number ranges..
had nothing to do with new manufacture, and likely do to the issue with headspace on the 17,s keep the bolt with the rifle so to speak.
    FYI:
the P14 and 17 has a very few amount of parts the will actually work on both rifles. the bolt is not one of them..
the P14 is in .303 Britishicon, and the 17 is in .30-06...rimmed and rimless cases..
i have listed the parts the will swap without modification before.... though they may bolt on...they may not work well.

    Bolt Handle marking/stamping

My P14, Serial Number range 194xxx, has the "E" stamped on top of the bolt. The serial number is stamped on the underside. Did this change as production progressed?
