    Inland44,
    Look again...
It's being described as a 6 digit, 559,xxx... to early for a rear adj sight.
I thought at first it was a 5 mil, but that would have been in the WRA numbers.

    SRT,
Here's what Rear Adj Sight Stake Marks can look like.....
    Look at picture #1....

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. SRT,
If the INLAND name is LINED OUT...
    Look very closely above it........
DO YOU SEE THIS MARKING? .U.

If so you have a Inland made receiver that was sent to and used by UNDERWOOD.
Your Serial number is in that range.
This might also explain the Underwood 7-43 barrel date.
That would make the receiver and whole carbine worth more than a CMPicon rack grade,,,,,,
But,,,,, If the letters running sideways on the barrel are import markings, It may be a wash.
Would still love to see pictures. Hard to make a offer without them.
