Does this Inland flip sight look real?

The seller is offering a 7 day inspection with returns if not happy.
He also states in his description "If you need more pictures or have questions feel free to ask"
His shipping charges are fairly priced.
Hard to ask for much more than that.......
Maybe he's just not a pro with pictures. Many of us aren't.

Charlie, I will kick the dead horse one more time.

You are absolutely right. My fustration is not with the authenticity of the parts. My frustration is the amount of time and number of emails I have sent auction sellers asking for additonal pics or asking basic questions.

As far as a return policy, I am really glad some some sellers do offer that. I personally think it adds value to the item and builds trust, especially if that seller does alot of selling through the auctions. However, I think it is difficult to expect a buyer to purchase the item, send funds, wait and receive the shipping before realizing that it needs to be returned for a legitimate reason. The buyer is out the shipping costs (both ways) just to look at it AND the seller is out, when he could have sold it to someone else who could have used it. I am also sure that an honest seller gets frustrated in having to answer 10 dozen emails about the same thing and send out 6 dozen more pictures. I best, simple answer is to try and post the best pics you can and give the best detail description when you post your item. It saves the bidders time, effort and money AND it saves the seller the time effort and money, too.

I honestly think that taking decent pics is a skill that most people can learn. Look, all us old, gray haired guys have learned to work computers, post pictures and even spend money online! It just takes some reading, asking questions, practice and attention to detail of the product. If I can learn, anyone can! LOL

I am sorry, my friends, for this rant. But I have spent over an hour today with three bad pics from an auction posting trying to determine if the slide posted is the one I need. I have even tried blowing the pics up and adjusting the lighting on them in an attempt to determine any markings. The seller has not answered an email. Guess I won't be bidding on that one... I just hope its not the ONE I need.

Agreed bad pictures don't help any auction, be it the seller or buyer.
But remember we also take into account a sellers feedback. I don't know the man but see that he's had 1351 feedbacks and batting 100%.
Many of his past buyers are members of this forum.
He rates 4.9-5.0 on all Detailed seller ratings.
He offers more pics if needed. That along with a return policy, Delivery confirmation and insured gives me a good feeling about him. Looks like he's not wanting any problems either.
I'm sure he's frustrated also.
He clearly states that he doesn't ship out of the US.
His first question from a potential buyer........... Do you ship to Italy....
AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH.

I was doing the same thing we do every morning and evening. I was leading 'Big Will' and his little buddy 'Reb' the Quarter horse in for the evening. 'Big Will' walks on your right..... Period. 'Big Will' is high strung, he's only been off the track for almost 2 years now and still has Happy Feet. A trespassing hunters shot rang, the rest of the story just equals hurt.
The horse 'Big Will' and I have a understanding.
I try my best to make sure no trespassers are hunting........
That thoroughbred makes sure I've done that job correctly............
To be honest I'm still feeling that one. 1250+ lbs of spooked horse on your right and about 1100 on your left vs 190 lbs is a no win. Worst of it was the Wife and Daughter having to see it happen. It scared them to death. I was lucky, though it didn't feel like it for a few months. Worst day was here at home laying in a hospital bed when my Daughter left for school. She'd left the TV remote out of reach and I had to suffer thru soaps until the neighbor got home and helped. That cost me a 12 pack. HAH... I'd of bought a case.

I did find that one can heal quicker with a project barreled receiver in hand.

Project carbines.......... That's the cure all.

We better get back on topic.

Looks Good To Me. The term "witch-hunt" is often used by analogy to refer to PANIC-INDUCED searches for perceived wrong-doers other than witches. The best known example is probably the McCarthyist search for communists during the Cold War, which was discredited partly through being compared to the Salem witch trials.

Paul, as I have stated, I believe the sight is real as well. Remember, perception is evrything!

Possibly knowing who this seller is also makes a difference. He does have a good reputation and offers more photos. Unfortunately I have seen totally righteous and well meaning folks unknowingly sell what they thought were nice parts. But my opinion of passing on this one would not change given the photos that were offered. My main areas of concern were the leaf spring and leaf. With the darker coloration it appeared to have been replaced. The seller admits the spring may have been replaced. The porosity of the metal of the leaf was also a concern. These concerns however can easily be remedied with better photos the seller is offering. Again, given the reputation of this seller and unconditional return you will most likely be fine. In the meantime call me the "Witch Hunter."
