THe Fall 2008 GCAJournal has an article by Bob Seijas
& Dave McClain regarding the M14
N.M. rifles at CMP
. The article describes the "1980 Ohio Court Ruling that found that a TRW N.M. rifle was originally made as a N.M. and was never a "machine gun", therefore legal. The ATF did convince the judge to declare that the ruling would only apply to the single rifle in question, but not to all TRW NM rifles as a class."

NO US Rifle, 7.62 MM, M14, NOT even the specifcally manufactured national match rifle produced by TRW were made without selective fire capabilities. That being said, most but by no means all NM M14's, either originally manufactured as NM rifle (only TRW made from scrath NM M14's) or build from existing rifle had the select fire capibilities disabled by welding/soldering/brazing the selector lock on.
Sniper188, your M14 HAD selective fire capabilities it just had the selector lock installed that prevent Private Snuffy from playing John Wayne.
It sound like deevyious is in Canada. So what goes here in the States has nothing to do with what goes in Canada.
I don't want to sound like I am blowing my own horn BUT I own 2 that is right 2 registered/transferable NON-welded US Rifle, 7.62 MM, M14. One is a TRW and the other is a H&R.
