    PBI,

Did they put these out each year or all they all the same? Just wondering.

I found it burried in a display case at Knob Creek this past sat. What are these things worth?? or are they pretty common. paid about $50 for this one.

The three I own are all the same and copyrighted 1943. I don't know if they were made any other years but for 1943 when they were producing alot of US military gear. I will ask a gentlmen I know that worked at the Saginaw plant if he knows anything about the book. He was a manager at the plant and specializes in Saginaw made products like the M1icon Carbine.

    Companies did that back then.

I have one , "Men and volts at war - the story of General Electric in world war II " by John A. Miller , copywrited 1947 by Whittlesey House. They were into a lot of stuff , and they wanted the story told before it got lost. The work on the bazooka is well known , but they were the ones who made our hand grenades the world's most reliable. They were also the ones who figured out how to use thier Christmas tree light factory to turn out proximity AA fuses at 1/8 the price and , more importantly , in volume. Lots of backroom involvement in different areas.

Brown - Lipe Chapin of General Motors Goes to War is another book that was printed similar to the Saginaw book.
