How many of you have actually come across the NHTE hammer for NPM?
i have only seen 1 in the past 3 years or so on the auction or gunshow scene, or forum.

Besides the National Postal Meter hammers marked N HTE, there are S HTE marked hammers for Standard Products, and Q HTE marked hammers for Quality H.M.C.

They were made by Hawk Tool & Engineering Co. of Detroit, Michigan.

I haven’t seen one on the loose, but I do have one in NPM “U” with a Marlin barrel 4.3 mil ser #.

our boy on the west coast is going to get tooled up real quick and run off a bunch of these for you guys. Ha!!

I doubt he'll sober up enough to try a stamp that's that complex, but you never know!
He has hard enough time with simple forgery!
(Not that I'm keeping track or anything...)
