    A correct, all matching Remington or Westinghouse is easily a $1000 rifle. If the metal is not cut down, I'd consider it. Getting a replacement stock with the proper US markings will be very hard if not impossible.

    A mix master Remington with all parts intact is around a $250-350 rifle depending on condition.

    Somewhere, somebody in my family ended up with a mint (really) Remington M91 dated 1917. My dad had it for years until Grandma died and all the guns were re-distributed to her kids by hat draw. My cousin ended up with an 1858 Remington Army revolver, sold it a few years ago without asking any of the family if they wanted it. I don't know what happened to the M91, probably the same thing.
