I went down to the gunshop where I bought the Garand and got a USGI replacement part. Im not sure if its "correct" but it was milled so that was good enough for me. I got it free of charge as per the agreement we had when I purchased the rifle. The deal was any parts need at no cost out of his selection, and let me tell you his selection isnt bad for a small gunshop. (Also in that bin is a few misc. m1 carbine parts one of witch is a mint underwood bbl) Any way the part is already installed and the rifle is running like it should thanks to good advice from you guys once again. Now I have an unneeded holbrook device laying around...anyone one want/need one?

Put THAT in the WTS section and someone may have to have it for an example. Maybe charge shipping and a coffee...
