    I’ve seen/ handled late war 44-45 M47C Snipers with matching MKI scopes.

    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.     I've posted my conclusions about that in detail in the past: No.32 scope production far out-paced production of rifles. This is proven from scope serial numbers and dates and an official inventory of sniping rifles on hand in late 1943.
