Different wood types

Along the same vein, what tools were used to fit the stocks and forearms? I do as much as i can with a file for now, and have a few wood chisels that i scrape with a little. The toughest part for me it the stock and forearms around the wrist. I use a pencil to show what material is excess, then remove the part and do a little work, check it, lather-rinse-repeat.

What do y'all think of this one? Looks like 2-3 types of wood? ****, up load not working

Lovely to see a rifle with all matching wood, however the reality of service life is any beyond repair wood would have been replaced with whatever was available, armourers did not consider collectors many years hence.
Not surprising then that many rifles have mismatched woods.

The last time I made comment to a Blank post like the one above, I got kicked off a forum.

Not knowing what was said can get you into trouble if the reason it's blank was because of a moderator.

My comment to a blank post was "that's the best thing you have said all day" (a friendly jibe at a mate) but obviously the deleted content was a bit rough and my smart crack rubbed the moderator of that forum the wrong way.....their loss.
