    Scope mount for a No.8 rifle

    I was unimpressed with the "no gunsmithing" mounts available so I made this from 1/4" T-6 aluminum and used the ejector, backsight and the two extra target sight holes original to the receiver. Although it sits a bit higher than I'd prefer, it's not too high and has remained solid after several months of use so I'm calling it a success. Not sure if I should paint it black or leave it alone.
