    Midmichigun, does yours have any Israeli acceptance marks? I have seen ones with the star of David but this one doesn't seem to have any.

    I've never heard of an Isreali 98k with out proof marks.
    Your rifle is either a Bulgarian or Rumanian rework. Is there a ser nr stamped verticaly along the butt plate on the left side of the stock?
    The milled bands are right for a mid 43 dated rifle, but since it is a mismatched rework it doesn't really make any difference.

    No there is no serials on the but/but plate. Bulgarian or Romanian eh? this thing just keeps going for potential former owners. haha

    On a side note I took it to the range yesterday and this thing SHOOTS!
