You'll find the 1941 Johnson an enjoyable and comfortable shooting rifle.I've had my latest one for over 10years and taken it to Camp Perry to shot it in the Garand
Match a few times. It is still in the original configuration and never refinished. I always felt sorry for the guy two spots over from me on the firing line as the cartridges are ejected at a 90 degree angle and invaritably landed right on their neck

If you haven't picked up it up yet, I highly recomend the book by Bruce Canfield on the Johnson Rifles. Its a wealth of information.
