    Barrels

    Weidners has mint Kar98 barrels at $55.00 a pop. Might start with that barrel. Have JD at Lassen Community College install it and do all work. Good luck.

    Thank you, Sir! I most definitely will look into it. As far as installing, think it might be time to learn for myself. Also helps to have a gunsmith friend and good websites like this one to learn.

    I bought a R FAMAGE with a bore that looked SO bad and was told the bore was shot. Some Sweets 7.62 solvent and ALOT of cleaning later and the bore is like new. Not sure if the sth american climate or colombian slack maintenance regiments attributed to this but i would deff say its worth spending a few hours cleaning that bore and seeing what its really like under all that muck. Well worth the effort to try and salvage that nice vet bring back.
