If it is a Marlin stock, then why does it have the Winchester W too?
For sure the stock in this thread is in NO way a Winchester made or used stock. It has been discussed many times online as something Winchester had nothing to do with by people with vastly more knowledge of the M-1/2 carbine then me. Another point to make is that there are numbers and letters on carbine stocks that have nothing to do with who made them. That may or may not explain your large W in the slingwell of your stock. BTW, I too would like to see pictures of the ordnance wheel and slingwell of your stock just to see what you have.

I've got pictures, but i"ll have to transfer them to photbucket before I can post them here.....
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

Well belive it or not, I went back to that same show { It's only held every 3rd month, OGCA } and the guy still had that carbine with the stock I wanted. He was a little more flexible now so I picked it up for $675. I'm going to pretty it up some and put my M2 kit in it when it arrives
. The receiver is a hand stamped Inland I haven't torn the rest of it down yet. I will post a picture of the slingwell markings, they look just like the ones Charlie showed us.
Thanks Guys
