What was missing I guess is what I'm not understanding.

I thought there was a section missing from the sides.

There were two inches missing off of the receiver. I only went by the pictures in the ad when I should have read the ad. Sorry for the confusion. I tried to post this explanation earlier, but the post didn't take.

Likewise, I somehow missed the rear portion of the receiver sitting there when I first looked.
