    Love that SP Bill

    Somehow I feel that if I didn't live in Calif I'd have an SP. Always admired what Standard Products did, the little cool tools they made and the way a gunsmith was running the show for the most part. Their high standards for barrels and willingness to fight for it.

    The bright lines are the highlights from the machining, as in Bill's example. The "flats" are the brownish bits - covered in hardened grease. Maybe this is a rifle put into long-term storage and never cleaned up properly since?
