Bore SHOULD be .300 (ish)

A "Line" (ancient Russian unit of measure), is close as damnit to 0.100 inches; thus "3 Line's" is pretty much .30 Cal.
GROOVE diameter, like the .303 Brit is a bit of a crap-shoot, as you American cousins say, but should run .312" to .319".
It worked in 1891 and is still working today.
Finn supplement: check out the Finn TKIV-85 "update" of the old Nagant: .299" bore, .309" (ish) groove. .308" MATCH bullets out of the 7.62 x 54 case. Complete round of such is called the 7.62 x 53R. SERIOUSLY competitive rifle / ammo combination.Information
