Thread: is there a trick to fitting a 1907 bayonet into a pattern 37 frog?

    So...which is the one you're trying to fit? Or is it none of these? You said blancoe'd? To be honest and direct, the only thing I'd call a Pattern '37 would be an actual Pattern '37. There were later patterns of webbing and the frogs accompanied...that green thing is kind of a mix of a couple. Did you try what I suggested?

    mine is the same style at the two tone one. i didn't try what you said as i wanted to pick the rest of the white, gloss house paint, off first. it is so tight i didn't think it would come off again once on.

    the more i look at the side by side pictures, the more i realize they are totally different.

    i guess i'll put that frog in the "for future reference" pile, chalk it up as a learning experience and look for the correct one.

    It doesn't help that the 1907 frogs were modified to fit No4's, and that SLR, No5, No6, No7, No8 and No9 scabbards all all the same and that some are shortened or have top straps or not etc.
