Is that an AR15A2 HBAR at the bottom, very nice rifles! Always likes the AR series of rifles, a gap in my own collection I need to fill since I sold my Spikes Tactical M4 last year..

Looks like an M4 with a 16" barrel. And of course all the California legalities observed.

Sorry about that. I guess that's what happens when I take a post out of context. I'll go quietly........

MY 1/7 twist PSA Mid-length Carbine with pinned stock, muzzle brake, and Monsterman Grip so I can use my "legally possessed by me in California prior to 1-1-2000" high capacity magazines. I do not have to use a bullet button or 10 round magazines because it is "featureless" with no evil pistol grip, collapsible stock, flash hider, or grenade launcher!

Would that be the rig you carry when cruising the back country? And that's the older shotgun red dot you use on it?

That rig is just for show, or when I am indulging in the Walter Mitty in me. I usually have a Galati international 6-pack shoulder bag with 30s. I have one for the AR that I have had since the 80s, and another one for my AK that I got last year.

With a Saiga AK, before I switched to a WASR

WIth an earlier AR Carbine build before I switched to a mid-length.

Does anyone have one of these? Gathering the bits to assemble one. Details on the 651 652 here http://www.retroblackrifle.com/. Not sure why this oddball carbine appeals to me
other than I prefer a fixed stock.

They do shoot nice though. They're short and handy and quick to point. I had mine configured like that when I first got it but changed a few things along the way.
