OK, was able to open the pics with Internet Explorer but not Chrome in AOL. I agree with the others on the band and rear sight - also see the stake marks that were mentioned. - Bob

the stock definitely looks like it has had a wider type II or III band on it at one time to me. Was this carbine advertised as all original when you bought it or just "correct"?

The Quality of pictures could of been better, I used Photo Pro to open them and the Sight Looks good. There are 2 marks, but would those marks make the Rear Sight fake or not ? You can clean up the picture with several applications using Photo Pro.

This was one I corrected myself. There are stake marks and the stock most likely had another type of band on it at one time. My main concern as I was gathering correct parts was that the rear site and barrel band were in and of themselves genuine as it seems that these two parts are two of the most faked. Regards, j
