the bolt is one i built, nothing else is mine or my work, likely someone purchased a bolt from me off Ebay. is a recovered drill rifle for sure,
i wouldnt have painted the area, should a good shooter

Got some paint off barrel. Could not remove any from cutoff area.

I'm not familiar with what they are coating those with, especially one done outside of Gibbs or Aim. Acetone is about the only thing that will eat some of that stuff off. No good reason to do that at this point, you know what you have now. Go shoot it and see how it does.

both Gibbs and Aim used a paint as well, dura coat or other brand name of paint,
the issue i see is the gap on the bottom of the receiver ring, may be an issue for accuracy as well, like most, recovered drill rifles, they need to be squared at the receiver face,
usually, just removing the rough edge is all thats needed
common paint stripper available at any auto parts store removes the cheaper paint, no so much with some of the higher end coatings
