    Ill "stab" at an almost completley scrubbed Ishapore refurbished blob in 410 and US cut for commercial cartridges.

    Shin-Gunto Mei

    Yep the tip is a tad ratty but better than some I have seen it is untouched I swapped it for a 1917 '07 bayonet so not to bad a deal see pic of the Mei if you can decipher it I think it is around 1944 vintage I had toyed with the idea of getting it refurbed in Japanicon but have learned they are not doing WWII stuff at all now.Attachment 71472

    It is WW11, made by Uji Fausa at the Takayama forge. (My mate thinks its a hand forged blade)

    Thanks BD6 if thats so at least it is not a war expedient massed produced Shin-Gunto this one may perhaps have some quality manufacturing which was attained for the right price as well FTR (for the record) they are selling here in Aus from $900 ~ 1,500.oo/AU
