Its not just the question of how many its the quality.... looking at the auction Lots from post #1, they look like they have gone to great lengths and expense to produce some excellent displays. lets hope other museums bid for some of the lots......

There are quite a few museums strung out around the Normandy Beaches area. A shame to see that this one is having to sell up.
Some of the vehicles are great opportunities though for wealthy collectors! Unfortunately I won't be biding.

Worth looking at the results from this sale! 95,000 Euros for one of the Jeeps (estimate 15-25,000), over 360,000 Euro for the Sherman and more incredible; a scooter for paratroops, estimated at around 20,000 went for well over 100,000 Euro's! That's some keen collecting!

Much like vintage weapons, its only what people are willing to pay for them at the end of the day

All the bikes went for a high price, think the jaw dropper was the BMW R75 and side car........the Harley in the UK would be around £12000 -£16000+

The Norton certainly fetched a good price, as most UK made WD bikes range around £5000-£6000 in the UK, that would be for a mint or restored one, obvious rarer examples fetch a higher premium.
