    I don't think we've ever seen an A suffix rifle with so many ex-trials parts!

    How about the cocking piece and the middle band?

    Is the tongue of the butt a bit too long?

    Surpmil: Thanks, again, for the info. The cocking piece is marked "SM" for Singer Man. The lower band doesn't have a clear stamp- just see a tiny portion of a crown, I believe. You may be right about the butt- it was a wee bit loose and pulled in a bit.
