That should be "I don't get nuthin ™ " I got so little in ilfe I had to trademark that saying. But watching that poor rifle languishing there was killing me. The telescope and stand were the reason I eventually bought it, since I figured that the sale of those would pretty much cover the exchange rates/import fees. In the heyday, I recall one of those sets selling for about $3K USD (or almost 5K Cdn at the time). That was the heyday, I do not expect that now. I already have a scope and tripod, but needed the can. So I'll drag the extra scope and tripod to the Calgary show and see what happens.

As to the rifle, all I ever seem to see are the usual 90L snipers, which are technically post war. I currently have one of those, and also have a Britishicon made wartime 'T' that has the C/l\ on the wrist. Want to guess which one I prefer? Mind you, the 90L is incredibly accurate, despite being brought back to life from sporterization by an amateur like me.

This new sniper has the "been there" look to it. It appears to have a few issues like that bolt, but I can take care of that.

I was tempted but all I needed was the spotting scope, not the rifle. And I could not work out the mental math on how much money I would have had in the scope if I had unloaded the rifle.

Had another forum member PM me that he was looking to buy a sniper on armslist, but it appears to be the same rifle I bought. Very likely a scammer unless the rifle has managed to replicate itself. Remember the old adage: too good to be true it possibly isn't.
