Good things come in big packages also...

Long story cut short, I have had the pleasure of shooting a H&K MP5 on a few occasions and loved it.... of course in the UKicon were limited to what we can have but I was wanting something similar to plink with and practice my standing and kneeling shooting, of course could of gone for a Ruger 10/22 but whatever you do to a 10/22 it still looks like a 10/22.......

I'd seen what a guy had done with swapping the furniture over on a GSG MP522 to original G3 furniture, it looks the dogs reproductive orgins to me and was happy when a cheap GSG come my way, I thought I'd completed the order for the furniture set but forgot to pay....... so after payment it arrived yesterday, must admit it was a gamble but the wood is excellent,

It doesn't really need words with the pics, but the socket the Butt fitted into required some work and not as easy as the Guy I'd seen do (have included a link to his conversion) I had to make a forming tool to open up the socket a few MM and then use heat to bring the back end out and pull the front in, worked quite well..... some pics below, the butt transforms it straight away, I was going to do the same as the Guy in the link but I will reduce the hand guard to replace the plastic one and keep it compact.

So what you get in the package

    alongside the GSG

Some cutting, tweaking and a file it was eventually a good fit...

Just the hand guard to cut and make good, I was going to extend everything to use the hand guard as is but to keep it compact it still looks good.

Plenty of pics on the internet, but this is the link I had seen and the gut only used a dremil etc.
