A.P. mine made almost entirely from glass.

They had all kinds of them and they continually changed along with the way they deployed them. They made them of wood as well...very hard to detect. Those were the smaller AP types, the almost giant AT types would be about 40 lbs and the size of a garbage can lid...almost. Unfortunately I could go on. The Yugo's went from there...UK had some too...everyone did.

My Dad (NZ Engineers), having survived two years in the Pacific campaign, was sent to Egypt and spent the last 6 months of the war clearing minefields, both British and German. They blew most of them but a fair number still had to be done the hard way. Bugger that for a comic song! Luckily he came home in one piece and lived until he was 85.
