Guys at my range are modifying those net bags for carrying your dirty laundry and some 1/2 PVC. It's all the rage up at the pistol range. Bet this one here works better then the POS UTG I have strapped to my AR.

Full marks for building that, little unconventional but who cares if it works.

At the range we use I have been known to call a cease fire to change targets then collect any brass that has landed out front.

At our military shoot one guy is what I would describe as a brass *****, and is too happy to pick up all the brass between relays hoping someone will give him some. A friend only uses Lapua brass for .308 and at the price of that stuff you can't afford to lose a single round.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

Ya it works. I did order a bolt kit. Springs and ejector parts. Hop that works. I guess when I searched the web I looked for brass catcher not deflector. I would have gotten that instead.

A piece of screening sewed up on each end over a couple of pieces of 1 inch pvc which slip over a couple of bar clamps clamped to the bench you can adjust it to catch even M1icon brass. Make it tall enough to catch that AK brass that travels thirty yards in the air. They all laughed at the club I used to belong to until they saw it work. Oh and I am one of those brass hogs. If the range was empty when I got there it got a good walkabout from the parking lot to the target butts long with the scrap buckets
