The photo of me on the bike is from Classic Bike magazine, who came to Paris to test the Martin and the 900SS special. They did a nice review of the two bikes.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Well, she’s Fatty

Two years ago, while the family was in Metaponto (Ionian Sea), I was working.
Suddenly free from customers, I jumped on my bike on a Friday evening and rode down to them all on mountain roads through the Appennines.
One night there and back, again through mountain roads only.
2600 km, 46 hours drive, less than 60 km/h average speed.
Wonderful, cathartic trip.
Through history and wonderful nature.
This was my first stop between Bologna and Florence.
