I seem to think that the new deact spec allows for deactivated parts by default. Whereas before, it didn't specify deact parts only weapons. But the cops were very liberal regarding deactivated parts such as barrels because of the way the old specs were written - in that a barrel was a firearm in its own right, as defined in law and........... anyway........

Tell me about it Geoff. If May and the rest of the EU surrender committee get their way, then we will continue to mirror EU law post BREXIT, firearms law included unfortunately.....

Evening Mark, it all hinges on whether or not we mirror EU law moving forward or not...

As the current fall back plan seems to involve copying and pasting EU law into Britishicon law and then setting about unpicking what we don't want.

It will be 100 years before anyone even thinks about EU Firearms meddling, if ever unfortunately!

It will be so far down the priority list.

Viewed the WWA Bren barrels today. They have the two types of Mk2: the Britishicon type without the receiver lug slot and the Canadianicon / Australianicon type with the lug slot. The former were £175 each and the latter were £145. They had about 10 British ones and 30-40 Commonwealth ones

They also had deactivated MG13, MG34, MG42, MG08 and Vickers barrels.

A six inch or so slot on the underside of the breach end and a rod welded inside. They don’t look too bad.

They are probably the same stock from a few years back. If so, they also have the gas reg welded into position and one set of the buttress threads ground off.

    ON BEHALF OF FLYING10UK

MK1 Bren barrel, deactivated of course, which I have recently purchased from WWA? It is of Lithgow manufacture and I believe that the barrel sleeve with the lip at one end (similar to the MK2 sleeve but with a lip) was unique to Australiaicon. Flying10uk
