I did like reading Canfield's Corner once or twice a month.

My favorite was one that was a bit of farce/ fiction that posed the question...What if the history of a USGI rifle could actually be documented? It went into ridiculous, excruciating detail about all the people who touched the rifle in it's mundane journey from rack to rack. Finaly to be bought at a gunshow by Clark Griswold. Hilarious!
