'Tonight my men and I have been through hell and back again, but the look on your faces when we let you out of the hall - we'd do it all again tomorrow.' Major Chris Keeble's words to Goose Green villagers on 29th May 1982 - 2 PARA
Good Day,
I purchased one of the reproduction examples a little under two years ago. The only issue I had with it was the keepers were only held together with 3-4 stitches. I wrote to the seller and expressed my concern that using the sling in a similar manner to the 1907 pattern might break the threads. He responded that it was made the way originals were. I ended up keeping and reinforcing the keepers with heavy thread and a sail needle. Hopefully the current group have been reinforced.
Regards,
Mike
The keeper on the sling I received will need some attention just not now I busy stocking up.
Check this fat barrel.

MJ, don't take this personally, but that's crap.

any chance of a photo of how the keeper is folded and stitched ( how have they captured the loose ends?)
