Update ~ Well they came ~ inserted some juice into me ~ on the slab ~ suffered some flash backs from the Sept 13 event ~ bit of ouch & could feel the wire going through my radial artery near my elbow bit yucky ~ my cardiologist put another stent in on the left side blockage so I now have 2 pieces of metal in my heart. Not able to ride for about 4 days as it would be a bit silly if I popped my radial artery now wouldn't it!

So I am recovering my wrist is caning from the insertion of the wire but apart from that I am still vertical and breathing so happy to be alive enjoying the web page here with friends and hopefully get my V4 back soon but think thats going to be a long haul trying to get a mirror from Italy the bike shops ordered it but Covids done the deed on all of our countries.
Anyway chaps thats it in a nutshell not a nice journey I hate hospitals and needles even more please look after yourselves and heed any warning signs your not a sook going to the Dr's your being smart my own stupid stubborness could have had a very different outcome, I mean fancy arguing with your wife about going to the ED whilst your in the midst of a heat attack only a twaddle like me would tellya no wonder the troops called me CINDERS.(A really burnt dude?)

Imagine someone who rarely feels pain

I have this sort of thing...because of regular back injuries...spine...my body has turned down my pain receptors. This was something told me by doctors not my own observations. So I don't feel pain the same way others do, can touch hot things without feeling it. It also takes away other sensations though so it's not that handy.

I mean fancy arguing with your wife about going to the ED whilst your in the midst of a heat attack

It's easier to do what the casual observer says in this case. Just do it.

Seriously though, time to get to work on fixing the old bod. Listen to Dr. Gundrey, he put zippers up the middle of thousands of people and when someone like that turns his back on surgery and says diet and the gut is where it begins and ends, we ought to at least listen, think and perhaps give it a try - if we think our lives are worth that little effort?

This place is quiet enough as it is - we can't afford to lose ya.

I remember a few years ago I had to have "the camera" up me and "down me", starting with the top end first. The doctor said "Would you like to watch the procedure on the television?"! I replied "NO, I DO NOT"! Then he went on about the "various pain relief options" and I replied that I wanted "the maximum possible pain relief because I have a very low pain threshold when it's myself". It still felt like having a broom handle pushed down my throat when he put the camera down.

A low pain threshold saves you a lot of pain. I have the opposite problem, and am also very refractory to anesthetics.
I had only two surgeries, one for a badly broken thumb, needing screws and surgery, and one for tonsils at age 38.
First time, I told them all they were doing, until they injected something in my IV and I just passed away.
Second time, after pumping the standard dose into me, I was awake like before. So they just “killed me” again by IV.
Dentist is a torture...

Think about this:

Do I have a low pain threshold?
Imagine someone who rarely feels pain (high threshold) but then has a major injury. Because they have little experience dealing with pain, their tolerance might be low. Meanwhile, someone who is in pain all the time (low threshold) may be able to function even at high pain levels if a major injury were to occur.

It all sorta comes down to Experience to rate Tolerance. And either of the two comes from a event causing Pain.
I've had 13 Orthopedic surgeries and from those and other misc injuries I've learned one thing. Being around someone complaining about their Pain, will only make you feel worse .
The trick is to just avoid people that aren't smiling
