    The serial numbers are also out of alignment. It most likely is a real A4 just one of those anomalies in the production were the roll die was out of alignment. Just look at the errors that happened at the US mint.

    No It's unusual and frankly I had assumed the "03-A3" and "Remington" were stamped in a single pass but it looks like they were done separately and the receiver shifted in press in this case.

    This receiver would have been mede in August 43 when Remington was cranking hot and heavy.

    The serial no. is fine.
