Thanks, Loy.
Chuck did you or anyone else save the infor on the auction you linked?
I have just confirmed that the bogus auction that I won for the M82 was actually auctioned in april 2007. The pictures and description from that auction were used to create a bogus auction.
Thanks,
Cass

Sorry, all I saved was the information I posted on scope s/n 2072.
I've been adding Unertl-USMC scope information to a list I received from Larry Renolds several years ago. More than once a peticular scope has shown up in different auctions or on a different rifle.

Not sure if its a sniper scope but it was Ebay snipers that bid it up in the last cpl mins. Geeze I hate that.
If every Scope with a set of Mann-Niedner mounts is bringing this kind of money there will be a lot more for sale. I was asked before the end of the auction what I thought it would bring and told the person that it would bring less than a normal A5 because the mounts have been changed. Told him it would go for less than $500 ;-).
I sold my A5 last year of just over 1,000.00. So this one seems in line.

Somebody wanted to give money to The Brady Bunch.
Auctions are like that. People get caught up in them and pay exorbitant amounts for damaged stuff.
Spelling and Grammar count!
Loy, I sent you a PM but I'll also post here.
Did any of you save any info about the ebay link Loy left? It's no longer active. Was the seller bwohlg582i ?
I was just caught on a scam for a M82 scope and wonder if this one was also included. Mine has now been deleted by ebay as well. I can explain the scam more once I get a little more info, but it appears they are using old auction pictures and descriptions combined with a job scam where the apparent seller gives up ebay account info in the form of a job application scam. Fortunately i was able to get out for no more than the cost to cancel a cashier's check.
If so it appears the scammers may be using high end scopes as scam auctions.
Thanks,
Cass
