F10 the indicators that make up a true 4T the guys who know don't advertise it on the webb as there a subtleties in the stampings position and serif that tell a real T from a faker T.
And if they made it common knowledge then it just arms the fakers with that much more info so they can make their faker look even more legit and swindle people and knock the crap out of a real T's worth.
So you're better off PM'ing one of the members learning how to identify a real one but keeping that info to yourself as the fakers are getting better at their game now days, so don't take their silence as being a rebuff on your question.
Its a matter of preserving that knowledge to weed out the faker T's being palmed off onto some unsuspecting sod and their hard earned $'s.
I know my 4T is legit with its scope as their serial No.'s are listed in the book Peter Laidlerwrote with Ian Skennerton
on the No 4T and the Holland & Holland connection so I don't need anymore proof than that.

Flying10UK,
Cinders is correct in that, feeding the fire of fake weapons is not what we are about, however, experience is the key to handling any Military produced weapon, regardless of country of origin.
It is only by handling these weapons, like the 4T that you get to identify, the correct serifs and numbering in areas not commonly known to the casual copier or faker.
There is an abundance of information on this site already as you know which if read carefully will give you what you seek, as it is carefully laid out to assist buyers so that they do not get caught, but more importantly gives you the confidence that you have the real deal in your hands and can quickly identify anything that doesn't look or feel right to you, after that knowledge has been gained!!
Good Luck.

Just like a bad rash or unwelcome relatives, it has shown up on GB again :/
If you look you'll find it on enough sites right now that it'll probably sell. Then it'll come here for evaluation by it's new owner...so stand by...
