Can you Post a Picture of your Uncle?
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.

Thanks for that. Did I post that once before myself?
I'll look for a picture of him when I get home. I have some pics taken on his last leave before going overseas.

My late great uncle. He was my paternal grandmother's youngest brother. He was a Jeep driver for his platoon leader. I never met the PL personally, but he came by my grandmother's house in 1989 to visit. He was retired and was going around the country to visit families of the men he lost. I spoke to him via telephone between 15 and 20 years ago. He mailed me some photos of my great uncle that he had. As far as my great uncle's death, apparently he volunteered to go on patrol and was shot by a sniper. Only 20 years old, and 5 months away from victory in Europe.
