As far as bolt parts, the mistake many make is they install a SC bolt, but fail to correct everything esle. SC had a unique Bolt Sleeve, Striker, Striker Rod, and extractor.

Would you mind posting the ways to differentiate between SC & subcontractors? Pictures would be helpful. I'm working on my SC and don't have the working knowledge outside of what I learn in these websites to find the right parts. I'm pretty sure I have the right bolt sleeve, but am unsure about the right striker (smooth, no concentric rings?), striker rod & extractor. Your shared knowledge & experience would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Strikers can be a problem. I have a pack of SC strikers which I hold onto to make complete bolts. Naturally they are unmarked, blued, but can be confused with early SA and Sedgley strikers.

I do not remember all the details and would have to compare them to tell you more. As you probably know the SA's are bright on the tips. But the Sedgley and SC are very similar but the finish is dull on the Sedgleys.

The striker rods and bolt sleeves you will have to rely on others for pictures. I have about 15-20 different striker rods and explaining the differences is too complex. The bolt sleeves are cut down in front and are marked with a G on the front left side. There are unmarked and BP marked versions of the same sleeve.

I think it is best that the collectors give you more details.

SC extractors have a S stamped in the upper flat side.
SC safety sleeves are marke G on the inside face, bolts are X with a 1 stamped on the bottom of the bolt root, cocking rods are unmarked or may have a 1 stamped lightly on the left side of the sear ingagment, stiker will be rough and unmarked as well as the striker colar, safety will be A3 type rounded edge, with no mark. extactor colar will be stamped with no mark.
all but the safety, mainspring and catch will be blue, the safety should be phosphate, catch latural, spring natural.
