I bought my SAI M1Aicon Scout (18" barrel) January last year and paid $1500. After about 800 rounds the gas nut started to come loose. I check it frequently now. Clean it every couple trips to the range and keep it greased. The last couple times out my hand loads didn't want to eject the 1st round but functioned flawlessly after that. After about 3000 rounds it still shoots better than I do. I couldn't be happier.
