As a little post script to this thread through the network of like minded peeps and the pm system I am now in possession of a unused No4 Mk2 re-imported to the UK.

the FAZ 'contract' mk2s were made for about 15 countries , all fell in the PF prefix ranges , quantities varried from 10 for hong kong , to 50000 for irish republic , judgeing by the small quantities of most they were going to police type forces ,

the POF mk2s seem to have been made in 1957,58,59,60
and it seems 40000 or so were made and seems they used a "C" prefix with 5 digits
