New to this Board, Been collecting for about a year for Milsurp Rifles
I found this site doing a search for info on Mosin Nagant 91/59.
As of now I have in my collection 3 Sks's-Russian/Yugo
/Norinco/
and 2 Mosin Nagant-M44/M59. It has been a good year for me as far as having the Fever. I will post pictures tonight of the girls. For now I will read allot and learn in this forum. By the looks of this sight, it is a wealth of info Thanks for letting me in.

Hi there, 1st post though I joined a wee while back while checking on a new arrival, the best kind, one I was given. I've been a shooter & part time collector for several decades now, more the former than the later though I run to a LE No5 Mk1 (JC), No4 Mk1 (Longbranch), 1896 Swedish
Mauser (6.5x55), Siamese Mauser (8x52) & a couple of 1898 Pattern Mausers, 7x57 & 7,65x53 (1909 Arg) as well as a P14 Enfield, all these in original or nearly so condition. I also have some actions & sporterised (bubbarised
) examples too, the new arrival is one such, as far as I can figure its a No1 Mk1 action, once had a sliding cover, safety on cocking piece. It has at some time though been rebarrelled which was how I found my way here, trying to ID the barrel, it may be a Lithgow
Mk3 heavy (sniper?) barrel, certainly heavier than a standard LE barrel. With a Mk3 style tangent rear sight, thumb wheel elevation adjustment & knurled knob to adjust for windage. A beautiful bit of craftsmanship in my book. Some fascinating stuff on this sight & I'll be spending some time here from time to time.
Steve.

Hello all....
I'm John and I've been collecting firearms most of my life. I'm particularly interested in military surplus weapons. I live in "The Peoples Republic of Illinois" (don't hold that against me
) and do my best to change the messed up gun laws that we have.
Looking forward to interacting with and learning from the folks on this site.
