A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Hello to all and first must say thanks to everyone who keeps this site working, it probably is the best site for serious collectors. I collected many years ago while shooting DCRA in Saskatchewan, sold most of my firearms and did other things. Got back to shooting and collecting about a year ago thanks to my son. Have met some great people including Bearhunter, ROD-ON and Ed who have been a wealth of information and help. Enjoy longer range shooting and have focused on collecting Lee Enfields. Wish my eyes were like they were 50 years ago but that's life I guess.

    Hi, Folks

I more of a gun tinkerer than a collector. I enjoy finding an older Military rifle and cleaning it and ID's/learning its history. This site will be a wealth of information for me. Looking forward to learning here..

    Finally getting around to posting

    Hello,
I have been reading the messages for some time but finally decided to start being a more active participant. I collect US military firearms and have been playing with M1icon garands for over 20 years.
I look forward to hearing from many of you!

Hi, I am a collector of antique folding knives (primarily Sheffield made) and recently have been focusing on Britishicon and Commonwealth military folders from 19th Century to 1945 (approximately). It is a great field of collecting because of the large quantities that were manufactured, but it is also the variety within each pattern that makes it particularly interesting. Ron Flook's book "British and Commonwealth Military Knives" is an invaluable reference book for the serious collector.
    Regards
    Loada
