    Weird Mosin Rifling

I just recently got hooked on old rilfes. Started with a m91/30 from big 5 (that ended up being an updated dragoon). And I just got my first enfield no4 mk1.

My mosin has 2 sets of rifling in its barrel, one is deep and the other is shallow and shiny but is parrallel to the main rifling. Has anyone seen this before?

Hi I am new here but not to military weapons. This seems like a great place to get information. I am mostly interested in M1icon Garands.

Hi, my name is "shortmag",I am 50(apr/10) years old aaaand I'm a "gun-a-holic" Been this way most of my life! I've tried to quit...even cut down a bit, but,........I...I....I am what I am I got a couple of SW/96's a couple years ago. 6.5x55's..cuzzzz...an old friend of mine had one for years...he was over 80 yrs old, used open sights only, he would be the "point shooter" for his grandsons and nephews. He often made shots over 300 yds and farther, and never missed a deer.. NEVER . I reload all my own ammo and I started to look into the ballistics end of 6.5...WOW!! a nice surprise indeed. After working up a safe load(accuracy over speed) and seeing one ragged hole @ 100 yards, I was VERRRY IMPRESSED...actually shocked!!I've got most of my modifications done...stocks/bolts/triggers/safety/floor plates....things are shaping up quite nicely! I belong to several other sites as I love looking and reading what others have done with their rifles...new or old Looking forward to chattin with some of you soon......"Shortmag".....((kevin))
